So far reported that Alt+F10 does not work on are:

    GA-Z77-D3H F18
    GA-Z77X-UD5H F14
I checked with bios team and was told that they tested it and it was still working correctly. I did get told however that it was a bit harder to get it to work and that they will improve that with next bios.

Can you please try to press ALT+F10 before the post beep and see it if works. Second thing to try is to just spam ALT+F10 from start.

    Please report back.

What ALT+F key is supposed to be used to copy a new bios over the old bios so they are both the same?

    Thanks

depends on the board, with older ones like P67 it was ALT+F12 but with newer ones like Z77 and X79 it's ALT+F10

    Hmmmmmmm

On my GA-B75M-D3V it reverts the new bios back to the old orginal bios.

None of the ALT+ F keys copys the latest bios over the old Bios.

Thanks for checking for us. I did try spamming Alt+F10 before the beep and only once was able to get a strange 'Recover BIOS from fixture, set jumper' message?!? What does that mean?
Also, any idea why the old BIOS versions were removed for download for the GA-Z77-D3H and now only F18 remains (GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77-D3H (rev. 1.0))?
I really like this motherboard and have another one coming next week to upgrade my other computer.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Tested on GA-Z77-D3H with PS/2 keyboard (USB never worked for me):
    F14 - OK
    F15 - OK
    F18 - not working

Anybody else able to ALT+F10 in these new BIOS releases? Has the key combo changed or the feature been removed?

    Thanks,

    Mark
SUCCESS! I was finally able to get the familiar Alt+F10 'Copy Main to Backup' screen on my GA-Z77-D3H with F18 by spamming Alt+F10 before the beep by using a different PS/2 keyboard.
Apparently Alt+F10 timing is very tricky in some new GA-Z77 BIOS releases?

Glad to hear you got it finally.

Yes Dino just confirmed from BIOS team that it is little bit harder to get into, they will try to correct it shortly.

I always start off by holding the ALT key down, then power the system on,and then start to spaming the F10 key. On my systems it seems while holding the alt key the POST beep will be postpone untill you release the alt key but only release it for a split second to get the post beep. Also while still holding the alt key it will bot continue to boot until you release the ALT key only for a split second again. This whole time you should still be spamming the F10 key. After all that it should boot you to the bios copy screen.

    Hi,

i'm digging out this thread because I'm not able to flash my backup bios.

I bought a Z77-D3H motherboard a few months ago and had to upgrade F8 bios to F18 because of the MSI GTX660 that's in the computer. I can't explain why, but I got bios corruption already two times and each time, the backup bios drag me back to F8 version which is not compatible with the graphic card. So I have to remove it to boot, upgrade the bios once more time to F18 and then put the card back in the PC. No tweak in the bios, only default parameters.

To avoid this, I'd like to flash my backup bios to F18. But the ALT-F10 method isn't working. Can't tell exactly when I spam the keys since there is no speaker in my tower and I can't hear any beep. My keyboard is a PS2 one.

I tried the F14 bios version, but the PC didn't boot with the graphic card in it, so it is not enough. Couldn't find any other bios version to test and didn't want to try the F19beta since flashing it to backup bios seems a little risky.

Do you know if there is any other way to flash the backup bios? Or any way to avoid random bios corruption?
