sometimes it can be psu incompatibility, even if its brandnew and works fine on other motherboards it can loop on gigabyte

im not saying that its the psu but would be good if you can borrow another to rule it out

you had the motherboard checked by gigabyte? if so they would use a different psu and memory to test with

    Hey jam0004,
I have the same motherboard and have had instability issues from the start. At first it was what I thought was a cold reboot problem that was resolved by increasing QPI/VTT, as time progressed little other things started happening to where all the computer would do is reboot a few times and shut down. I was using a Corsair 850 TX power supply. Turns out it was definitely my power supply from the start causing some problems. Not sure if this is the issue here but it may be worth a try. Doing the paper clip test for a power supply is really not a true representation of how all things are going with the power in regards to how it is being utilized by all the components of your build. Here is the link to my problem with a lot of excellent advice and info on power supplies---think gold --ha !!!! http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...e-ud3r-v2.html
Again, I am by no means a pc trouble shooting guru, ( indeed this is the place for them though ), but we have some very similar situations--same motherboard, sort of the same power supplies ( company included ), this may be something to try, as Wazza has recommended. I hope things get sorted soon, hang in there !!!
    cheers--rclark

    hello

I'dont think its the psu beaucuse i have another psu that i tried with, same problem. its eather the cpu or the ram. And as I said the computer is brandnew so when I first started it, it went to reboot loop instantly. The thing that made me suspecious was that wen I removed the 8 pin motherbord connector it worked but nothing on the screen. didn't surprise me that it was nothing on the screen.

    thanks for the replays :)
and sorry for my english :)
