What's your highest vcore under load with those settings?
Gonna try for 5.0? I think for my chip I'd have to go over 1.5v to get there and I don't think I'm going to do that. Temps would be OK but that's a lot of voltage.

The Coolaboratory TIM's are gallium based according to their MSDS, btw. I just went with the Pro under the IHS but some people are using the Ultra with good results. Actually the Ultra has a better heat dispersion rating.

i think the ultra is slightly thicker, not sure

highest vcore is 1.38v under load, ill double check

yeah 1.38v fully stable and temps have improved a little

You got a better cpu than mine. Took me about 1.41 to get stable at 4.8. When I tried 1.380 it would crash something every time. Takes 1.5v for 4.9 and I didn't want to push the voltage any higher to try for 5.0. Some say you can go 1.55v briefly and some say 1.50 but I don't want to go higher.

Right now I'm running 4.6 24/7 with .030 offset and it will creep up to 1.308v stress testing, but it's stable. Idle it's about 1.044v which is the lowest it will go with more recent bios regardless of clock speed setting. I always keep all the C states on Auto.

Maybe I will delid the other 3770K some day and try it out, but it likes a lot of voltage too. I haven't found delidding to help with voltage, only with temperatures but the temperature decrease alone made it worthwhile. It was so easy to do, I don't know how people screw it up if they are careful but like everything "stuff" happens I guess.

for me anything below 1.4v is safe for 24/7 use, theres no real point pushing further as it usually needs a huge voltage bump for 5ghz,and yeah the lower temps make it all worthwhile, the key is to use a plastic cutter or cut down lid, that doesnt cut the pcb like a metal blade would

heres the tools i used to delid,i just cut one corner of the heatsink rocking the blade back n forth and tilting the blade up and away from the pcb, once it cut through i used a cut down plastic lid from a take away meal and inserted it into the cut i made, with a firm push round it cut the sealer very easy and isnt sharp enough to nick or cut the cpu's pcb

Good idea. The single edge razor worked good for me, you just have to be careful and not slip.
I actually used a small tack hammer to insert the blade in the corners, I felt like I had more control with gentle taps than pushing hard with my fingers. That's where I've seen some mess up, they push the blade in really hard and when the adhesive breaks loose the blade slips and hits the cpu.
I scraped down the adhesive lightly with the razor and then used a bunch of 90% Isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs to remove the rest.

I've got my fans running between 900-1000 rpm's now, it's pretty quiet considering I have 19 AP-15's. My loop is set up cpu-gpu-gpu and I'm seeing really good gpu temps.

well ive been running it a few days now and its been fine in games, temps are much better and im thinking of keeping this 4.8ghz as my 24/7 oc,just need a few finishing touches like an ssd and a few case fans to complete this build, then ill be using it full time, the board is fantastic though really solid

With the low vcore and stability looks like your UP4 is doing a really good job. I would like to try my delidded cpu in the UP4, but I got it boxed up and went back to the UD5H in both rigs now. The heat sink on the UP4 is too high and prevents me running one of my radiator fans.
I'll probably sell the UP4 and save up for Haswell. Plus I really don't like moving the delidded cpu around. If I ever do take it out again I'll get some adhesive and secure the IHS so I don't have to worrry about it.

But good job! You got a good one in the cpu lottery.
