You said that you "try various memory modules", so i don't know was you check all modules with default settings (without xmp settings) - thats what i ask about it.
Yes, when you clear cmos or first time insert module it will run on default jedec settings w/o xmp profile. Bios will store this setting for all memory modules.

Also you said that GA-B75M-D3H boots correctly in dual channel mode. With same cpu?
Usually low-end models have limitations in the BIOS and this is B75 chipset. Can XMP bypass these restrictions?!
You probably checked the memory at 1333-1600Mhz in dual channel, not 2400Mhz

It will only boot to BIOS and POST with DDR3_1 or DDR3_1 + DDR3_3 populated
Well I've re-seated the CPU and tried various RAM combinations again unsuccessfully (including the above) so I'll be contacting Gigabyte support to RMA.
    1. Does this mean that mobo not POST with 1 or 2 modules in DDR3_2, DDR3_4 and there no bent pins on cpu socket?
    2. GA-Z77X-UP5-TH not work in dual channel with any kit when you run it without xmp at 1333-1600Mhz?

If it works, it can be with the new motherboard will be more lucky.
