After some internet research I changed the c3/c6 settings to disable and the windows installation was able to get to the the Setup is updating system registry. Unfortunately when it reaches there the system freezes. I am unclear what else I should do and was wondering if there were any other things that should/could be changed to help in the install.

Have your tried setting the ram to 1333, and the ram timings to standard,
    and updated the bios.

Unfortunately i'm at my wits end as even with the updated bios it still shuts down/resets after hitting expanding windows files and i have no idea what to try next :(

Currently i am using only one stick of memory and no gfx card. Is there any suggestions that could be made regarding bios settings as I currently have it at optimized defaults again.

101 error means not enough cpu voltage

set pwm phase control to extreme
set cpu vcore voltage response to fast
plug all your memory in and enable x.m.p/profile 1
    try with 1.06 cpu/vtt (qpi/vtt) from stock 1.05v

then see if its more stable and whether you can install windows
