    Default Strange issues with z77x-ud5h + 3770k

    Hey Tweaktown,

First time posting here and im hoping someone had a similar issue or can provide me with information of whats exactly going on.

So the issue im having mostly stability, the computer is unstable even on factory defaults, cannot pass prime95 and chrome will always crash. I provided 20 crash reports to chromium and the crash im getting is listed below, i've tried running chrome only on cores 4,5,6,7 and it works fine but when its running on core 0 its unstable again. I cannot even post on this forum without having the Aw, Snap message pop up around ten times.

    Things i've tried:
Reflashing Bios x20 [Modded Bios F15, Downgrade to F14, almost everything and i always make sure my backup bios and main bios are synced]
Increasing voltage, stock my ud5h is suggesting 1.120V on auto, i've even tried 1.3V with all factory defaults and im still having the issue.
I've tried using XMP, not using XMP, inputting my ram timings and voltages, letting the board automatically detect it, im seriously running out of options.
Im thinking it could either be the board or CPU but im coming here to tweaktown to try any possible solutions.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Alright so im like 80% its a cpu issue, it probably happened when i delidded it but its strange how it only started happened pretty recently.

I've tested my computer with my friends i5-2500k and its working great, so chrome crashes like before.

So i think its dead.. which is sad but oh well.

try covering the underside of the cut off heatsink with electrical tape or clear nail varnish as it will short if the pcb has niks in it
