Default GA-P67A-UD7-B3 and OCZ Vertex 3

    OCZ Vertex 3

I'm trying to do a Windows 8 fresh install on my SSD.

    I get:
"Windows can't be installed on drive 0 parition 1. (Show Details)"
Windows cannot be installed to the disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the cmputer's BIOS menu.
    And when trying to format:
We couldn't format the selected partitio. [Error: 0x80070057].
Tried to install when BIOS set to IDE and to AHCI using GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P67A-UD7-B3 (rev. 1.0) Intel SATA preinstall driver for AHCI.
Also tried to Install on GSATA3 port and on SATA3 ports.

Tried to disable GSATA controller on BIOS.

    I think i tried everything...
    Any ideas?

We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs portion of your
forum profile at the bottom of the
profile page or in your forum signature
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.

To avoid problems, you should install windows with your boot drive as the only ssd or hdd connected and there should not be any other partitions on the drive.
Bios F7 is required for all third generation processors and includes:
    1. Support Intel 3rd generation 22nm E1 stepping CPU (Ivy bridge)
    2. Improve power on issue
    3. Update ME / CPU code

With your ssd, install windows with AHCI or Raid mode.
You should use the Intel sata3_0 or sata2_0 port for your boot drive.
Don't use the GSata ports for your boot drive.

If your ssd has a newer firmware version, use the OCZ firmware update software with your ssd connected as a secondary drive on another system. See if your ssd is recognized when connected to another system. You should always do a full backup of your ssd before you update its firmware. You can use CrystalDiskInfo freeware to check the current firmware version of your ssd.
