    Thumbs down Z87-UD5H and G.Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBMX issue

I have 4 sticks of G.Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBMX totaling 16GB. Memory worked fine for two years in ASUS mb.
In Gigabyte z87-ud5h only two sticks, in any combination, work stable, even can be easily overclocked.
All four will give me BSOD in Windows. Raising voltage, setting manual loose timings, even downclocking memory to 1333, won't help. Memtest 86+ found no errors.
Seen reviews on newegg people having same issue with same memory and Z87-ud3h motherboard....

Do you have two 2x4GB kits of G.Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM memory?
The G.Skill Ram Configurator shows that one 2x4GB kit is supported ==> http://www.gskill.com/en/configurato...307&model=1355
It looks like G.Skill has quite a few 4x4GB 1600MHz memory kits that should work with your motherboard.

Post in the G.Skill TweakTown Forum, include a link to this thread and see if Matt can give you some suggestions.
You might need to buy one 2x8GB kit or one 4x4GB kit to be stable with 16GB of memory with your Z87-UD5H.

Yes, This is two kits of G.Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM memory.
People report issue with 4x4GB similar G.Skill kits. I think the problem is the motherboard's BIOS :-(

It's very common for some memory compatibility issues to be resolved as the bios matures.
Good things sometimes come to those who wait.

This your kit in 4x4GB combination works fine for Sandy and Ivy Brigde.

For Haswell system GB rotate DIMM sockets for 180 degree to decrease memory data travel time to CPU ,
with implementation something similar as Asus T-Topology (which is original from Intel).
In this new 4x4GB combination ,memory is giving better results.....but must be for
XMP Support For 4th Gen Intel Core CPUs & Z87.

2x4Gb no problem,as is not affected by this topology.

So,any 4x4GB will be OK as per memory approved list:
    http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...-z87x-ud5h.pdf

Btw,to be honest, I don't think so GBT will fix your memory model in BIOS (as is outdated.....this is price of new speedy technology).

Thumbs up Re: Z87-UD5H and G.Skill F3-12800CL8D-8GBMX issue

Looks like I've got it to work by disabling UEFI options, switched to Legacy BIOS.
At least it have not BSOD for whole day and memory runs with XMP profile enabled.
    Thank you all for support!

    Looking good.
Now it's time to do some windows stress testing.
HCI Memtest is an excellent windows stress test.
Follow the instructions on the web site.

Hi, can you elaborate a bit? What would UEFI have to do w/ the issue on using 4 RAM's? Could this be a solution too for the UD3H board? Sorry, I haven't used UEFI yet as I'm just about to upgrade my old PC and been researching about a similar GB board that I'd like to get this week (Z87x-UD3H), w/c has similar issues. Thanks.
