Question GA-Z87x-UD4H: stuck on splash screen & realtek audio issue

pblm 1: sometimes, when I reboot or cold boot, i would get stuck on the Gigabyte splash screen and have to reset manually. This happened on the F6 bios that the board came with and still happens now after I flashed the bios to F7.

pblm 2: The onboard realtek 898 sound module w/ R3.78 driver don't play nice. When I have it enabled and set as default playback device, I get a lot of crackling sounds and sound would cut in and out. It would also cause stability issues - random BSODs. Now, I have it disabled and drivers uninstalled to avoid these pblms, but I would like to have sound..

    Thanks,

    Daci

note: My SSD's firmware has been flashed to the newest version available. It's also connected to Intel Sata 0. There's no OC whatsoever, ran memtest86+ on my RAM over night, no issues. Temp from HWMonitor seem perfectly normal too.
