    Default USB Keyboard Troubles GA-Z87X-UD5H

I am having problems for my GA-Z87X-UD5H board recognizing a USB keyboard at the time BIOS is beginning to run.
The only way I can get to the BIOS settings menus is use a PS/2 keyboard. This problem occurs with 2 different keyboards.
Scenario: Boot up with USB keyboard[cheap Dynex kbd]. Can't get to BIOS. Won't accept/recognize F12 or Delete. Tried again with another USB motherboard.
Scenario: Boot up with PS/2 keyboard Bios recognizes F12 and Delete and other keystrokes.

I want to use my USB kbd. I don't want to use the PS/2 Keyboard for work with programs.
I guess my BIOS is configured incorrectly.
I reset it using the Clear BIOS Button after first removing the CMOS battery. Re-installed CMOS Battery.
I then set the BIOS to F7 Optimized Defaults
Same problems USB not recognized until Windows 7 is installer

    Suggestions for FIXES PLEASE.

beta's are fine/safe to use imo,can flash back if it doesn't fix the kb

can only be a bios incompatibility with that make/model of kb,hence why it wont work till it reaches windows and loads drivers for it

a cheap usb to ps2 adaptor might cure it if nothing else will
