Although it could well be a RAM problem (or even a motherboard problem) I would try flashing both the main and backup bios to the same version. Sometimes with Z77 boards it helps.

If all else fails try to get some known working RAM in there. Is there no local place you can go where they would be willing to install some RAM long enough to see if it's the problem?

There is nowhere around here which will allow me to borrow any RAM, I could buy new RAM if it meant being able to sort this problem out because I will need to get new RAM at some point anyway.
Do you think the RAM could be a problem for this system?
On the memory list it doesn't mention my RAM but it also said it doesn't include every known RAM on there due to being so many.

Well, you said it was crap RAM, I don't know anything about it. But it's possible. Try everything else first, if nothing works then you can try different RAM.

Are you sure? I know that's a stupid question to ask because you said you're sure it's a memory problem but I just need to be sure because I don't know whether to not RMA my Motherboard and wait for new RAM, or to RMA the motherboard without getting new RAM. I am just confused because either could be the problem.

Didn't you say you were going to have to buy RAM anyway, that yours was borrowed?

Yep, I have ordered it now, got express delivery on it so it will arrive tomorrow. If you are referring to the last comment I made replying to stasio then I done that because I wanted to know what is the best so I could help someone else who may need an answer to that question. Also I wrote that and forgot what I replied to you about by accident.

It is preparing for dispatch now. Even if the new RAM didn't work any more I see it as money spent correctly because at least I will have reliable RAM to use now.

I will write an update tomorrow (I will still answer any future messages today if any appear) based on what happens so other people reading this can get help in the future as a possible fix.

    Update 1:

In case you are wondering the RAM I bought is Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

    Hello. Thanks for the reply.

I have just bought new RAM now with express delivery so it will arrive tomorrow.

Even if it doesn't fix the problem it's no big deal because at least I will have better (faster) and more reliable RAM to use with my system.

Did you try using any older BIOS versions such as 11? I was getting the same problem with recent BIOS versions, and when you use the backup BIOS if it gives you an error b2 you need to remove your graphics card and use the onboard graphics to navigate the backup BIOS.
