    Default Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5 help

Is there a bios out that will allow my Z77X-UD5 to recognize an R280X video card? If I populate only the top (3X) PCI express slot with that card, the system will not post. but if I populate the second PCI express slot (2X) with my old R6970, as well as the top slot with my R280X, then the system will post. unfortunately, then the system is drawing to much power from my PSU, and crashes occasionally as a result, especially when overclocking, so that is unacceptable.

Thanx in advance for any advice I am given

If changing BIOS does not help, then try this.

I had the same problem once with the same board and a 7950 gpu, and this is what Gigabyte said:

Remove the video card and use the onboard graphics.
Boot to the BIOS and change PCI ROM PRiority setting from EFI to Legacy mode.
Save then exit and reinstall the video card.

Unfortunately I ended up RMA'ing the board for repairs but worth a try I guess.
