on the ga z97x ud5 bk

Absic has written a very interesting review of the GB UK site.

Nice. Sort of pricey, though, and not as fast as my Samsung Pro SSD in RAPID mode. But maybe when the prices drop a bit I'll pick one up.

I wonder if anyone has got an M.2 device to work on any of these boards yet....
What is the difference between rev 1.0 and 1.1 ?
Also is F8b modded bios different from F8b beta and would it be better than F8 ?
    Thanks

    Hi,

I still don't see the difference between the Z97X-SOC and -SOC Force?

Other then the Killer Ethernet vs Intel...

Could someone give some advice on which to get, I want to say 'Yeah get the Force becasue 10 more must=better'

But then I want to say, 'Oh I could save 10, awesome!'

    TIA!

Looks like they will be available soon on Newegg and without the bracket and cheaper:

Starting to work on my 4790k and have it up to 4.6 quite easily on air (1.258 vcore, which quite amusing is exact vcore AUTO tries to put it at stock 4.4).
Passes stability tests although I am noticing some light quirks with audio that typically happened before when memory wasn't 100% stable on 4770k.
I'm also suspect that uncore on 4790k which seems to only be 40x stock and not 44x stock, could be related to. I'm probably past the threshold where I need to raise uncore to keep the gap from being too large and causing memory awkwardness.

My water cooler parts aren't all here yet so I wasn't really going to do uncore until I got water setup and got cpu to it's max. However, I'm wondering if maybe I need to probably poke at uncore, before proceeding?

It might help to raise Vring, but not necessarily uncore speed. On my OC'd 4770K I leave uncore on Auto so that it maxes out at 40x.

OK, finally got my 4790K ordered. I'm hoping it's at least as good as my current 4770K, it's been a really decent cpu compared to ones in the past. Don't care if I have to delid just want a good clocker.
My backup rig has been torn all apart, need to get it back together so I can put my Z87 in it with the 4770K off my Z97 board.
