    @Arr

Have you checked out Search - Fernando's Win-RAID Forum (AHCI/RAID Drivers - BIOS Modding)?

Maybe someone can help you in the GIGABYTE Modified Bios thread.

    Hi Arr,

    I followed the instructions here:

[MOD] LGA775 Support For LGA771 Xeon CPUs

The only point to note (that I struggled multiple times with before I figured it out) is that where it says 'BIOS.BIN' you replace that with whatever your BIOS file is called and it doesn't need to be a .BIN file.

It worked for my X5470 with my 'new' EP45-UD3P and the already modified BIOS I got from here.
    GA-EP45-UD3P 1.0, Intel Xeon X5470, 4x2GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066, NVidia Geforce 8800GTS 512, Kingston V300 240GB, Noctua NH-U12P with 2x Noctua NF-P12 Push-Pull, Corsair HX520W, Antec P182, Windows 7 64-bit

I can't be held responsible if this doesn't work but here it is:

I figured I've had so much help from this site that I had better give something back!

thank you verry much man, i will flash it right now :) get back with you in 10 minutes, and i hope to be lucky :)

i modded my self a bios, last night... after some errors sayng there is not enough memorry, i insert it only for the 771 and it worked, i moded the bios; BUT it didn-t work, it was acting like other modded bios from internet:

after i flash, i reboot... bios logo appears, i press DELETE, i enter agayn in bios to load the optimised defoult... after the next reset bios logo appears, i press DELETE agayn... and after 5 or 10 seconds rhe screen go-s black, with a blincking white cursor, in the upper right corner.... and thats it... not working

right now i start to flash you-re bios, really hope it will work :)

I think I had a blinking white cursor after I flashed a BIOS too - how long did you let it run for before you reset?

I hope that BIOS works for you!

same thing with you-re bios, too

what you mean how much time... ?

i flashed it... then i press Escape, to reset the PC... then, in the bios logo, i press DELETE so i can enter in bios to set the optimised defoult setting... then i select SAVE AND EXIT... after restart, agayn, in the bios logo, i press DELETE, to enter agayn in the BIOS.... but i get the black screen with the blinking cursor

if i dont press DELETE, i get a loop of restart and bios logo

am i doing something wrong ?

maybe its a bad motherboard... i am tryng to get my SSE4 from months... :)
