    Tried the following:

    1. setting to 3.20B only and 1.5 DRAM --> no boot
    2. Setting to 3.20B and manually setting timing of 9-9-9-24 with 1.5 DRAM --> no boot
    3. Setting to 3.20B and manually setting timing of 9-9-9-24 with 1.5 DRAM and clocking FSB up to 400 while down clocking CPU multiplier to 2.8GHz--> no boot

in between these attempts, the old RAM booted every time, and its max volt is 1.9 on the sticker

going to try 1.6 DRAm per your suggestion tonight in a bit - but i have my doubts!

That's discouraging that you can't boot with one memory module at 1066MHz.

I remember many situations where some P45/DDR3 systems required very high dram voltages.
I do not recommend going higher than 1.60 volts unless G.Skill tech support says that this is OK with your memory.

    Hi,

Recently, we're use single sided(high density) memory kit for most of the 1333/1600MHz series, and this single sided memory kit may not be compatible with
some old motherboards, please kindly considering about the NT series, and it’s the only double sided memory kit who will be compatible with your system.

Unless the new BIOS update release for this issue, otherwise the double sided memory module will be the only solution for this matter.

Matt - thanks for the response - i am currently trying to get the system booting with he RipJaws via the tuning reco's of the tech at G.Skills forums here is the link:
    Seeking Compatible DDR3 for EP45T-UD3P - G.SKILL TECH FORUM

If this doesn't work will you consider allowing me to exchange the RAM through GSKILL directly for the value series?

Can't you set at least some of the BIOS settings to Auto for the memory, to give it a chance to work? Or is the BIOS of this older board to simple to handle Auto settings?

Also, unless I missed it, where is the clear the BIOS/CMOS suggestion, that should be done whenever changes in memory are done, among other things.

We see some of the memory compatibility details as described by the G.SKILL rep, those are the basics.

I have not tried clearing the BIOS/CMOS for fear of not getting it back up and running again...i did completely flash the bios though with no change in behavior.

Matt which of the three value series kits should I choose to exchange and try in the system? The 8GBNT or 8GNS??
