Default Gigabyte BIOS issue with i7-4790K chips causing kernel panic

I just recently got a i7-4790K with a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H board and noticed a reproducible kernel panic when the processor is put under load. Upon further inspection it was related to the turbo setting in the BIOS, when it was turned off, things worked fine. I have seen several posts in other forums about this issue and it appears to be very widespread and only an issue with Gigabyte boards and this processor. Any idea's on how to get turbo working without inducing a kernel panic? I can link to other forums discussing the same issue however I figured I'd shoot over here and see what you guys said. Thanks -

Ok im a newbie and just want to ask anyways, can you update bios in the OS or you have to flash it. Another is if i have the f2 bios, do i need to download all the versions preceeding that [f4,f6,f8) or just the latest one
