Default Z87X-OC powering down since BIOS update

    Hello there,
I've been experiencing problems with my computer hanging randomly, increasingly frequently, so I figured I've give a shot at updating my BIOS. I was running F3. Apart from the hangs I didn't experience any other issues.

Flashed to F8 using @BIOS, which assumingly failed because near the end it causes my computer to hang. It rebooted okay, although I forgot to set boot order up. But shortly crashed with a BSOD saying my BIOS were likely the cause. No problem, went into BIOS and used QFlash to flash over them. Booted fine.

Shortly afterwards I experienced many many BSODs, all with different 'likely' causes. So I tested my RAM. Took out one that failed the test, left the others in. Booted fine. No BSODs. Ran it for a good 3 hours and then it hung up again, while idling on my desktop.

Restarted. Figured it was just one of those odd ones that I'd get originally that caused me to flash it. So this time I started actively using my computer. Computer abruptly shuts off. Reboots after a few seconds automatically. Through the night this happened 3 times over about an hour. It's become pretty intolerable.

So I'm looking to reflash back to F3 unless anyone has some suggestions otherwise. I ordered new RAM but I'm not putting them in until I know that's the only issue left, because the one stick failing after doing a BIOS upgrade has me worried. I attempted to copy the backup BIOS over main, by holding power and reset until for a few seconds. Prompt came up saying detected corrupted BIOS, flashing over with the backup ones. Well it finished, power cycled numerous times on its own. I pop open the BIOS, still says F8.

I'm thinking you still have a corrupted BIOS. Pull the battery for a few minutes to initiate a good CMOS clear.

From your boards product page/BIOS: (Note) Please use the efiflash.exe included in the zip file to update this BIOS.
I would try the F8 again using efiflash. The reason is the BIOS format changed at F8 and the old Qflash won't work correctly with it. I was able to use the latest @BIOS on my Z87 board a while back when GiB made the change, so you might try it first.

Attempting to use the efiflash included just tells me it's not compatible with 64bit windows. This is why I used @BIOS instead. However, it had just caused even more problems.

Are you using @BIOS version B14.0603.1?

Yes that is correct. Along with AppCenter B14.0529.1.

    Update:
I flashed it again using @BIOS just a few minutes prior to this edit. I'm going to leave it on idle, and then use it later tonight to see if I get any odd shutdowns or etc. This time @BIOS detected the BIOS servers and when it went to flash it didn't take as long. It seems to have worked smoother this time around, simply put. But we shall play the waiting game now.

Good. It will probably be alright.
