    Question GA-X58-UD5 and Windows 10

I want to upgrade my current Windows 7 to Windows 10 running on GA-X58-UD5 but on the drivers download page there are no drivers for windows 10 or even 8.
Intel download center isn't particularity helpful either since I can't find any drivers for Windows 10 at all over there.

Any idea where can I get drivers for the chipset and SATA chips for GA-X58-UD5 which will work with Windows 10? Or maybe I can just use a standard provided drivers without loosing performance?

No, not yet. After "upgrade" from 7 to 8 and all of the issues it brought me with BSODs originating from the SATA controller drivers I'm a bit skeptical about upgrading without proper drivers.

No problems at all. Forget Gigabyte for driver downloads. They stopped updating support page long time ago.
Make sure your disks are connected to Intel SATA controller, use Intel RST 11.7, they work fine.

    From link you gave:
Intel P45 and X58 Chipset/ICH10R Intel RST(e) v11.7.4.1001 WHQL Intel RST v11.2.0.1006 WHQL (best performance) or
    Intel RST(e) v11.7.4.1001 WHQL (newer)

14.6 or any higher than 11.7 gives you "Platform not supported" error.

12.9 can only be installed in RAID mode officially. How did you install 14.6 and what is speed comparison between 14.6 and 11.7?
