Default x58-ud4p bios crossflash for better xeon 6 core support?

    hello

using a xeon x5650 s1366 (2.66ghz 6 core) that I go off ebay for 65$ in my old x58-ud4p rev 1.0 with the f14p mod bios from this mod bios thread in this forum. replacing a i7 920

it works, but the overclocking is luckluster. (143mhz bus max) I was wondering if a bios cross flash to another gigabyte x58 board would help? some ud5 users crossflashed in other forums . Before I potentially kill the board, wanted to ask.

    hello
    i'm in the same situation with a UD4P . tried L5640 and X5650 cpu's . both act the same.
i can get the board to boot with 150mhz bck. (after a lot of trying), and with "easy tune 6" increase the bck up to 185mhz.

the motherboard overclock well with I7-920 . (bios overclock only)
the westmere's are fast on X58A-ud3r.

have you solve this problem ?

    thanks
    moshe
