Default Gigabyte Sniper 3 blown fuse

    Hi all :)

Just received a Gigabyte Sniper 3 in "excellent condition" in the post....

Upon inspection I immediately noticed a blown component between the audio front panel and the Firewire ports :(

The location is stamped IF4 and the blown component is stamped P 1512 (I now think it is a 0.3 amp fuse)

Edit: the board boots but I have not tested everything yet...

Any idea what this will affect?

Don't know that board specifically, but if it is a fuse it may be for a USB port. Gigabyte has touted fuses for USB ports as a feature - Z97 was when I first noticed it. Could have been done earlier tho.

I have not tested the Firewire but all USB ports are working fine.

All PCIe slots are working too however the PCI slot is dead.

Anything I plug into the PCI port is not recognised by the OS so it looks like this fuse is linked to the PCI slot...
