    Default GA-EX58-UD3R won't post

For about a week I had the exact same problem described here:

    http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...-not-post.html

Same motherboard as well. The solution requires the get to post at least once in order to change the bios settings to the recommended ones, but for the last week or so I couldn't get it to do so even once.

Should I keep trying to turn in on and off, or change cmos battery and hope for the best? Changing the battery will reset the current setting, and I'm not sure if this will cause some new and unexpected problems.

    Welcome to the forum.

Unplug the power supply's power cord from the wall outlet and then clear the cmos by following the procedure in the motherboard user manual.

There was a broken link in post #12 in the thread that you linked to.
The corrected link to the thread is EX58-UD3R, altering bios settings causes boot failure and you might find some helpful suggestions in the thread.
