Default F20 BIOS is a savage on Z170m-d3h, do NOT upgrade

F20 will basically brick the MB, dual bios won't help you from there. I went from F7 to F20 and boom, no POST, no beep, just on and off boot loop indefinitely.

yea I know right, press power button till it on and off so second bios could kick in, but nope, not working.

press power and reset button together so second bios could kick in? Nope.

clear cmos, remove the battery and power cable? Nope

I tested every single component on my friends computer turns out working.

Conclution: MB dead from upgrading to F20.

Already requested for RMA, meanwhile Wish Gigabyte aware of this issue and look into it. Thx

Unhappy Re: F20 BIOS is a savage on Z170m-d3h, do NOT upgrade

Hi I have the same exact problem, I used the shorting trick of pins 5&6 and 4&7 on main BIOS chip, the machine came to life but after shutdown and disconnecting the power cable it lost BIOS data again, it is now exactly just like yours, After updating to F20 the machine "Z170-HD3P" was working OK, I went to BIOS added ADMIN password, saved, exited the the machine went to on and off boot loop. I need instruction on how to blind update the main BIOS chip.
Thanks for any help for who might be able to
    Harry
