    Default Need help getting backup bios to work z77 d3h

    Hi guys i need help. My pc wont boot up past the splash screen. Or the pc turns itself on and off every 5 seconds. i cant get into bios it wont let me. Its very frustrating. I have a gigabyte z77 d3h rev.1.0. Is there anyway i can get the backup bios working i think my main one is corrupted.

    I understand you can pin short the main chip to make the system bypass it. If you hold power until the system powers on then off again that too is a temporary fix. Many boards have an option for repeatedly pressing CTRL+F10 or F12 to invoke flashing the 'Backup to Main.' It sometimes helps to use a PS/2 keyboard. You can try adding a recovery bios to a flash drive and holding CTRL+HOME. There are a few other methods short of purchasing a chip programmer. Try a search for BIOS Recovery on Google.
