Thread: 3D Games freezes after a while.

    Dismiss! *haha*

    Well, 3 slots with 128Mb modules in each one equals 384Mb ram. 256Mb ram @ 100Mhz :(
    I don't think 128Mb @ 133Mhz beats 384Mb @ 100Mhz in w2k and 3D games.

Games like to consume the resources of ram nowdays.

Can't I overclock the 100Mhz ram modules just a few Mhz so the box still stands stable? That way I can triss up the speed a little bit more untill I get those 133Mhz SDRAM modules :)

I used to have the same problem when I had my S3 Savage4 16Mb, games would lock up, and sometimes even windows. As you all probably know, S3 doesn't exist any more so there were no official drivers available to update to, so I was stuck with using 3rd party drivers which didn't seem to help my cause. :(

The only solution I could think of was to get a new gfx card, which I did, and it runs great :)
