Hi i'm having sum problems adding the 512 to my system and was just woundering if anyone could help me out please.

1st they are both XMS3200 sticks.

Now what happenes is i put the 512 in boot it up i get a msg saying system is low on memory i then get somthing saying that my sound wont work and another one to do with Norton. After this it keeps loading till my wallpaper comes up and then thats it, i can move the mouse and hit CTRL ALT DEL and shut down the puter.

If i take out the 256 but leave the 512 it loads ok now i guess its because you can't use more than 512 in ME is that correct if so is there anyway i can use all of my 768Mb with out going to XP and the reason i'm not on xp is cause i do abit of online racing with my MSFF wheel which you can't use the software to run it on XP thankyou MS

    Any help would be great

    Thankyou

windows 9x/me can only use 512mb ram
if you want to use more then you will have to upgrade to xp or possibly win 2000

Actually Win9x oses were only designed to address 256MB of memory though most systems will get away with up to 512MB (I've worked on systems though that won't go past 256MB). If ya need more memory then upgrade to XP.

Check the Hardware Compatibility List. It might be supported by the OS already and thus no need for MS to release a driver for it.
