I am thinking that your gfx card can't handle playing every game properly due to it not being a fx5950ultra as much as you would like it to be. For starters, the bios swap is just asking for trouble in the real world. 970mem seems to unrealistic for that card to operate properly possably causing repeated issues that you seem to be having.

RA2 doesn't require that much to run properly.
I've gone too far and need to move on!

yeah and i dont keep it at those settings all the time, just thats the highest ive gone and used in benchmarking. I was worried that maybe it was the actual card so i put in an old geforce2 that i found lying around the house and it did the same exact thing.

Well then I guess its up to Ea then. I just hate it when the last option is tech support.

It seems no one has suggested but you probably did anyway.....

Have you tried updating drivers? Get updated drivers for your mobo and other stuff even if you already have video (since you have the same problem with other cards). Did you completely remove drivers from any previous video cards you've had? Those can cause problems too.
