Whats a 3800GT...? Haha, anyway there are more than one motherboad that have problems with large video cards, not just the 6800 series. It is compleatly possable though I havent looked at any of the SLI boards reciently but it is diffintely a problem with a few boards. I know my NF3 chipset fan is nearly in contact with the Mentioned Video card. You could probably find a passive HS and cut some of the fins to deal with the space needed. I know it would work for a NF3 but I am not sure how much hotter/cooler the NF4 chipsets work at so I'll leave that part for someone else.
