    Default ATX Power Connectors

    Hey all,
I am about to purchase a socket 939 motherboard, As I realized, It has a 24-pin power connector and the PSU I am going to use with it has only a 20-pin connector. I was going to buy an adaptor for the problem but I read somewhere you can just stick them together and somehow it works. Can I get any clarification on this?

It'll work without a 24-pin connector, but it will be unstable. An adapter will help, but it still might be unstable. You'd really be best off getting a 24-pin power connector. If you already have the PSU, then certainly get an adapter and try it.
