Default Problems with speed of tape/disc converter

I have used several different tape decks, hooked them via USB into the PC to convert them into ITunes. The music keeps ending up a half note slowed down on PC. (Music originally in key of A will be in A flat). I don't know what is causing this.

I've transferred tons of cassettes, LPs, etc and have never heard of this.
I know on my sound card there's an option in the Recording settings that will allow for speeding up or slowing down the timing, but that's usually only on playback. It has to be a setting somewhere. If it were an issue with hardware, it would error or you'd here clicks and glitches.
I'm not familiar with iTunes as I only mess with lossless files, maybe there's something buried in there...?

Sorry, not much help. I'll do some Googling though. This intrigues me.

Hi Jerm1970, thnx for reply. yes it must be in this EZ Creator progarm; the only constant. Started out with a cheap ION Tape deck, then an Alesis. Could not believe it when it was still slow coming from the Alesis. The thing is - this EZ Cretor program has no settings that I can find. The program is called EZ Tape/Vinyl Converter.
