    Default Problem Waking Up!

Once in a while, when I arouse it from sleep mode, my computer starts up, runs for a few seconds, then seems to go back to sleep, then starts up, runs for a few seconds, then goes back to sleep. It will do this until I shut it down completely. Then, after a reboot, it will run fine. This happens maybe once every ten days or do. Everything else seems to work well. Any ideas?

You must be 100% fully stable for S3 sleep to function properly, and you must be using the latest BIOS. Are you fully stable, what did you test with and for how long?

    F10 BIOS is here

I seem to be stable. I upgraded to Win7 from Vista because I was not stable. This OS seems much better. I have used Memtest several times (including overnight) and detected no problems. I'm glad there is a new BIOS but, not being a skilled nerd, I am nervous about updating it, never having done so before. But I guess I will have to try it.

Seeming to be stable, and actually being stable are two very different things. Memtest overnight is good, be sure it is Memtest86+ 4.00

You would also need to run Prime95, or Orthos for 12-24 hours before you can be sure you are fully stable, sounds like you have not done anything like that so you may not be stable at all. You can get those tools here to test
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/late...y-tools-30530/

F9 to F10, hmm how did you get updated to F9? It is easy to update your BIOS, just do not use @BIOS, use Qflash or DOS. I made a guide, but the images are down until the 1st of next month. The guide is still easy to understand and use though, images are just nice to see. Go ahead and read it to learn how to use Qflash and if you have any questions before you flash let me know
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

F9 BIOS may be fine to sleep, you can keep it for a while and try if you want. If you want to try that, please run Orthos or Prime95 for 12-24 hours and let me know if you are stable. If you get errors then you are not, and I will have to help you with your settings.

I have run both Orthos and Prime95 for over 24 hours each. All tests seem to be passed. I did not see any failures. What now?

Next step would be updating the BIOS to the latest.

Can you give me your full settings, I just want to look them over in case there is something small you are missing. Template is in my signature.

Performance Enhance Turbo may be an issue, as well as you not setting your memory voltage manually or adding MCH Core for 4GB

Try setting performance enhance to standard, set 1.24 MCH, then set your ram voltage to spec (Either 2.0 or 2.2V Check SPD Tab in CPU-z).

Those things can easily cause the system to not be stable enough to resume.

Okay, I've made the changes you recommended. I'll let it cook for a few days and then get back to you with the results. Thanks so much for your help.

Alrighty, let me know how it goes. You may still need a bit more tweaking, but those things really needed to be set to around the values I mentioned so it's no surprise you had issues without them set.
