Thread: iMac Harmon Kardon Speakers

    I have a delima, I really like those Harmon Kardon Speaker that
    the iMacs use. Does anybody know if they can be used with PC's.
    If so how.

    1 Gig Crucial DDR
    2 30 GiG Maxtor HDD (Stripped)
    Audigy Platinum Soundcard
    G-force MX 400 64Mb
    ATI 16Mb All-In-Wonder

    wouldn't they just have the standard mini stereo plug?
    like the ones that go in the front of cd rom drives

    That's what i'd be thinking... Have you actually tried to see if the speakers work, or what kind of plug they have?

    These ones are MAC only.. they use a USB interface...

    Well from what I gathered, they actually run through USB. Thats whats so funky about them.

    Whoa, whats the cpu usage like when you run these?

    Generally, usb speakers are pretty crappy when it comes to performance/cpu usage.

    yeah they are and the sound is weak most of the time, those are sweet speakers though
