Thread: I have discovered a conflicting device!

    1) in the bios, disable devices that use interrupts that you dont use, such as ps2 mouse, com ports, onboard sound, legacy anything. see if it works

    2) i see you had a "few kicks at the cat" with the nic card. uninstall all of them and have the manufacturers nic drivers ready when you reboot. see if it works

    3) if the above doesnt work, try toggling the "plug and play os" option in the pci section of the bios. see if it works, if not toggle back and see if it works.

    4) in the device manger, view devices by type and see what other bugger is using that io address. are there any jumpers on that sound card? post back here.
