Does anyone know of any free software that tracks the internet activity of programs on my windows machine? I used to use ZoneAlarm, which was nice, and popped up a little bubble whenever a program tried to access the internet. I had some problems with that, and I'm wondering if there's anything similar out there, minus the software firewall. I'm just looking to monitor outgoing traffic. thanks ahead.

I think that I've seen something like what you are looking for over at SourceForge.net recently, I'll have to go take a look...
I've gone too far and need to move on!

This is more relevant to Internet and Networking, so I'll move it to that forum. Also more chance of getting responses :)

you can use snort IDS. it is for linux but they have a win32 version. Just run it in sniffer mode and there you go
you can get snort from www.snort.org
