I have been reciving this email about 2-3 times in the last 10 month. I understand the purpose of the mail but what I do not understand is why they type:
    "Dear http://www.forums.tweaktown.com Owner"

Heres an exakt copy of the mail I'm talking about:

I used to get stuff like that about another site I'm a member of. I just ignore it, like all other spam.

And no, you're not suddenly the owner of TT. :)

tweaker, if you take your email OUT of your sig and replace it with :

    E-mail: the.tweaker --at-- telia.com

All of us know what it is, and programs that crawl websites and look for email addresses, will never recognize Yours as an email address.

If you keep your email address off the web, its very easy to get NO spam. The one you see in my profile is a 'web' one that I use when I need an email address for signing up for things, and believe it or not, IT does not get spammed. My real address doesn't either. Although I did get one last month, so its 100% perfect, and it IS a hotmail address, for those of you who think its impossible to have a hotmail account that doesn't get spammed.
