umm me and some friends were thinking about throwing a lan party, but we're worried about power issues. anyone know how much wattage a typical house's fuse can take? couple thousand? or will we need lots and lots of extension cords? thanks

try not to have all the comps on the same circuit...spred them out a bit to avoid any problems

but if you do have a problem, it wont take too long to know it ;)
I've gone too far and need to move on!

Also avoid using other appliances at the same time. I was at a LAN once with 30+ ppl in one house. Everything was great until someone turned on the clothes dryer. :)

Actually it's 16 fulltime atm with repairs/upgrades an extra burden but my place is wired for extra loads with circuit breakers for each room plus I'm on a 240v/15amp circuit (garden shed is 240v/30amp) which is well above the norm so other high consumption appliances won't interfere and the whole property is surge protected.
