    Hi !

I went to a website that is able to retrieve/send my mail messages & I think this website has saved the username & password that I entered. Everytime I enter my username within a few letters then the whole of my username appears, & when I go to the password column, all the asterisks are already filled in for me. How do I clear this in internet explorer or do I need special (free?) software to do it? I tried program called "absolute-shield interner eraser", but it is not able to clear it (in the lite version)

    Thanks

In an IE window, go to Tools>Internet Options>Content Tab, click the Auto Complete button about half way down the window. From there, you can then turn it all off, or simply clear it all.

Thanks for your reply. It seems to work. Since it is that simple, I just don't understand why the "absolute eraser" can't do it in the free version. Anyway thanks again. How do I close this thread?

Also, if it's more than one poeple using the computer I strongly suggest to disable this "autocomplete" function for your own privacy. :2cents:
