im having another weird sorta problem but i think its just a setting i need to change so i hope u guys can help. when im browsing webpages, checking email, or updating norton anti-virus for example my connection is really slow (especially on web pages with pics). but when i download sumthin in ie or in a p2p app my download speeds are normal. i took a speed test on dsl reports and it showed my download speed at 4kb and it should be at 128kb or at least it used to be. btw i have sympatico dsl basic. thanks for the help.

do you have a firewall installed?
if not then install one as that might be a job of a trojan infecting your system.
you have norton but some trojans sneak through.
