    Default dial up net sharing question!

    hey guys!

    just a quick question, a friend of my daughter has a laptop and desktop pc and wants to be able to unplug the dial up conection from one and plug into the other! do you need to change any setting when doing this with dial up? of should it work like cable nic connections ?

    As long as both machines are set up for the modem (or each have their own modem) it will be fine. If each machine already has its own modem, however, you can hook them both up to the phone line, but I'd bet that only one can hook into the ISP at a time since they monitor that sort of thing.
