    Default Network over long distance

My Family owns a Dairy farm. We want to network the facility. We want to run Internet from the house to the milking facility 1000-1200 feet away. We want to install wifi security systems at the house and 1000-1200 feet away in various places in the milking facility (milking parlor, office, parking area, drive, etc.) Plus all the other standard reasons for networking.

What would be the best option to accomplish this? Wifi antenas and repeaters, pay for internet in both locations having two different bills (long term would cost more 2 bills for internet instead of one), possibly run a cat 5 cable that distance (pretty sure that is way to long and wouldn't work).

What would be the best option to have internet in both locations. It isn't necessary to have internet (wifi) over the whole distance unless that would be the best solution with repeaters.

Also I am wondering how College campuses maintain such a large wifi network covering such long distances. If it is possible to repeat the same process.
