Question Buying a flat network cable, CAT 6?

I need to connect another PC to my router, Netgear WNR 3500L and I need a flat cable, because the holes are a bit small..

I currently have 2 PCs connected with Cat 5e cables, I think. Gigabit speed.

I was thinking of buying a Cat 6 (6e) cable, for some more future proofing.

Will anything work or is there something I should know?

Cat6 cable is round, It uses twisted pairs like cat 5 jsut with more twists, you can get shieleded cat6 . but eeven in the rf eviroments i work we still use cat 5 or cat 6 withoiut shielding. I did notice that cat 6 has a slightly thicker outer. But unless you are doing really long runs cat 5 should do ok. Never seeing it flat, Make the hole bigger.

Eventually I bought the cheapest Cat 6 flat cable from eBay and it works great.

    This one:
