Hello all I am trying to learn how to setup 2000 server to be able to host a website on it.I have read microsoft's windows 2000 server book that comes with the training kit.I think that I need a static ip address and of course a domain name and would use IIS5.0 to do this. What I dont undertsand because the book is very general on setting up IIS is how one would setup IIS.

Is there a better book or guide on this subject??

    Thanks

for most websites you should be right just to add the IIS component and its up and running. no real setup needed, just make sure ya grab any security updates
