i would surely like to tweak my connection.
it's over ethernet and connect through pppoe but i read the guide and i don't have this "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/
    Services/Class/Net/000n/Ndi/params/MaxFrameSize/"max" .... "
on my registry so i don't know another way to change my mtu cause dr.tcp wont change ethernet mtu's.....so any form to change my mtu??????(and any form to get a lil more speed out of it??)

oh ya and happy new year everyone.

What operating system are ya usin' cause if ya usin' 2K or XP then there is really no benefit to doin' this but if ya runnin' Win9x (95/98/SE/ME) then this page has the patches that will do the job. 2K and XP can only benefit from tweakin' if ya have some form of super broadband connection but can cause probs if not. : peace2:

Just go to www.speedguide.net like wiggo said and download their patch for whatever OS. That's all I ever use to tweak connections. It fixes the RWIN, MaxMTU, and TTL as well as a few others. I've seen people jump from 300k to 1100k.
