Hey, I want to hook my gamecube and my PC up to the same cable modem. I found a pretty cheap router.

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...queryType=comp

Please tell me if you think this will work. I have a toshiba cable modem with cox internet service. I am currently using the RJ-45 ethernet cables.

Thanx,
Lawton

Basically, any of the general purpose routers that are out now for cable / DSL connections should do the job. I'm not entirely sure how the GC handles it's internet access, but chances are this is the way to do it. I've seen many PS2 / Xbox Live setups like this, and they work fine.

Personally, I have a small Netgear 4-port router which handles all of my internet access, and it works well. It's a RP114, which is described here. (Note that it's an Australian site with Australian pricing...)

Many companies now put out products like this, so they shouldnt be too hard to find.
