    Hi Bossmaniac,

    Nope, it doesn't support that.

    @ Lian Li Tech

    Hello,
I would like to get addiitional Information on which Fact your statement is based.
Your Statement is only in one condition really true!
PIN11 is connected directly to Ground-level on the Backplane, because the Backplanes can be connectet via SATA- or 4 Pin Molex Power Connector (which apperently has no Pin 11).

If Pin 11 ist connected straight to Pin 11 then Pin 11 would be Open if the Backplane is supplied via 4-Pin Molex and the behavior of the Backplane supplied via SATA would rely on the behavior of the Power Supply itself.
I hope you understand what I mean, I'm a native german speaker :-)

That was it with Lian Li, I won't buy any product of them any more!
The Products of Lian Li are much too expensive to accept a "zero Support"
(On a 60 € Sharkoon Case I got much better support!)

I had planned a D8000 Case for 30 Disks using these Backplanes, but now:

By the way, which of the four power connectors on the back of the BP3SATA need to be connected? Is it all four, or can I just hook up PW4, PW3 and then my choice of PW2 or PW1?

HI. Probably best to make a new thread, not post on a year old one :)

But, I will have to ask them this question. But, you can try also:
