    Slackware would be a linux distribution. Like Redhat and Mandrake are distributions.

    i worked on mandrake 9.1 for one week and thought that i was ready for slackware but i was kicked by the install process.
    you have to do everything by typing commands!!! now that was too much for me. i m back to square one or in other words to mandrake 9.1 :o
