    Default upgrading to dual ram

I have a M7NCG 400 motherboard. it holds up to 3 sticks of 1 gig ram. 2 are set for dual ram. right now I have 1 - 512 . I just ordered 2 gigs for dual ram. am I able to have the 512 in the 3rd slot for more ram or will it effect the full possiblities of the 2 gigs of dual ram?

No, it would make one channel have more ram than the other and would not function in dual channel mode. Besides, it would not really make much difference without the extra 512MB.
