Thread: PQI Turbo problem

    Default PQI Turbo problem

I just bought 2gb of these PQI turbo rams. These are DDR400. Newegg says these are 2-2-2-5 rams. My mobo crashes everytime I set it to 2-2-2-5. So now it's at 2.5-3-2-5 (according to CPU-Z). But that's in the memory tab. Once I move over to the SPD tab, the timings are now 2-3-2-5. So... is it 2-3-2-5? or 2.5-3-2-5? I have the motherboard SPD set on auto so the timings are on auto.

    JD
there are 2 models of the PQI turbo

    1) Timing: 2-3-2-5
    2) Timing: 3-4-4-8

    with 2.6V for the memory

Looks like you have the 2-3-2-5 version then this is the timing you can run them at

Update the bios and run memtest. maybe your sticks are bad.. I was reading the user reviews on newegg most of them seem to be doa.

and up the voltage on the memory to 2.7V

    post back how it goes

Not unless there's a voltage mod that can be done to the mainboard.
