    Default Memory frequency issue

    I am running 2x 512MB [1GB] DDR2-533 [266mhz] on an ASROCK 775twins-HDTV R2 and Pentium D 830 3.0GHZ.

When i open CPU-Z and look at the memory frequency, it says 200MHZ instead of 266MHZ.

Why is this happening? Is my memory being underclocked in order to remain in a FSB:DRAM ratio of 1:1.

How do i adjust it so that it is running at its full capacity

Just because you have memory rated at a specific speed does not mean that your system will automatically run the memory at that speed. Your Pentium D processor runs at an FSB of 800MHz... in other words, a quad-pumped 200MHz FSB. You will need to physically go into the BIOS and overclock the memory for it to run at its full rated speed. It appears that your mainboard is simply running the system at default speeds, so nothing is wrong.
