    Default G.SKILL Poor Overclocker

I recently upgraded my mobo and ram from Crucial Ballistix 8500 which we all know can be difficult to get along with GA boards. On the advice seen in these forums I lashed out on 4gb of G.SKILL 8500PK only to find out it won't go past 1080 or even do 900 at CL444, my crucial would at least do that. I originally wanted some Mushkin 996535 but it is not availible in Australia and I can't get it from newegg as they don't do international (bummer). Could any one please help me with DDR2 that will scale higher than stock 1066, not over the 1200 mark as that is unrealistic but to at least give my system some play. I am also happy to lower the speed and go tight 4-4-4-10.
    My specs

    E8400 @ 4.05
    Gigabyte X48-DQ6
    Thermalright 120 xtr
    2 X 2gb G.Skill 8500PK
    Sapphire 4870
    2 x 250gb Sata
    1 X 500gb Sata
    600w Zalman P/S
    Vista 32

WOW !!! I thought this would be an easy one for people to give advice on. Maybe I should just sell the G.SKILL and buy generic 667.

What settings were you trying to go over 1080 at? Those are King modules and should overclock nicely. Are you sure you just did not try the correct settings?

Over 900 CAS4 Will be hard with any sticks
