Default Mushkin owners - quick question on this new ram

    Just bought some more ram.
When I opened up the box, there are 2 silver metal clips on the ram. What are the purpose of these, and should they be removed?

    Here is a picture.

You can see two silver clips on the ram.

Those are to hold the ram heatsinks on, DO NOT Remove them as it will VOID your warranty.

Also, if you do not see a little metal bridge under that clip going across from one heatsink to the other be VERY careful when installing the ram as the heatsink will move if you do not.

Best if you are unsure to just use the end of a ink pen or a eraser or something to insert the ram from the edges of the PCB so you do not move the heatsink off the ram
